Edit: Guys, this thread is like 5 years old. This doesn't have that great of a chance of working anymore. So I started having a problem ever since there was a new update to gmod that the stuff I was subscribed to wasn't being installed and wasn't showing up in the game. Not even older stuff that I had had for a long time.
Now make sure you have quit gmod. In your library, right click on the listing for gmod. Once it is finished and everything is done downloading, start up gmod your game should now be mounting and installing addons!
